Milana & Pavle
Romantic Chicago Engagement Session at Iconic Locations
Chicago, IL
This Chicago engagement session made me fall in love with the city, so much. Being from Europe originally, Milana and Pavle wanted European inspired locations for their engagement session, and there’s no shortage or that in Chicago. We started the session at the Chicago Cultural Center – with the most stunning interior architecture and staircase, this indoor location quickly become one of the favorite locations I’ve ever photographed at! Their famed Tiffany Dome was luckily open for our session (they’re sometimes busy with events). Afterwards, we went to the Art Institute of Chicago, an iconic spot for Chicagoans. Another grand stairwell plus beautiful columns gave the photos a little taste of Europe. We of course had to take a few photos inside an art gallery while there, though it was packed, we squeezed in a few amazing shots. (PS: please do NOT use flash inside any art gallery! Paintings, especially old paintings, are very sensitive to light) We finished off the day at another favorite spot, the North Ave Beach. With the sun setting and the Chicago skyline right behind the sweet couple, we got the classic Chicago engagement shots.
If you didn’t notice, M+P had 3 outfits, one for each location. This is one of the things I always encourage my couples to do – having a different outfit for each location gives are a wider variety of photos to use in the future, and it just allows us to capture more of you.
I seriously had so much fun exploring Chicago with Milana and Pavle, can’t wait for their September wedding, back in the windy city!
