Enough talking, let’s take a look at some of my favorite Kansas City engagement locations!
Nelson Atkins
The Nelson – Atkins Museum of Art is an iconic location full of Kansas City history. From intricate architecture and glimmering pools to natural greenery and beauty, it offers the perfect canvas for your Kansas City engagement photos. This outdoor location seems to have something that catches everyone’s attention, with beautiful scenery for every Midwest season.
Loose Park
Loose Park is most well known for its breathtaking rose garden. The floral backdrop is typically in full bloom during the months of May through June. Along with blossoming roses, you can find cherry blossoms around March and April, reflective ponds and scenery ideal for a spring shoot. If you are going for soft florals, and polished landscaping, this is the spot for you!

Hotel Kansas City + downtown Kansas City
If your vibe is artistic, urban, and imaginative, let’s take a trip to Downtown KC! Each pocket of Kansas City is filled with character and personality, each unique in its own way. Spots like Hotel Kansas City, The Crossroads Art District, Union Station and The Kauffman Center come to mind for the perfect Kansas City engagement locations.
Hotel Kansas City is one of my personal favorites of the mix. A boutique hotel like this one shows rich history and eccentric decor. The interior is reserved for couples with a pre-booked wedding, but will serve as a cozy spot for your ceremony, reception and day of events with one-of-a-kind images to match. Along with Hotel KC, there are a few buildings with stunning architecture within walking distance of the hotel!
* Hotel KC interior reserved for couples doing a wedding there due to high permit cost
Powell Garden
Nestled right outside of Kansas City, Powell Gardens is a botanical treasure. This Kansas City engagement location features themed gardens, each offering its own unique charm. Surrounded by exotic plants and shimmering fountains, it creates a diverse array of scenery to capture your engagement.
* Must cover entrance fee
Verona Columns Park
Verona Columns Park is the hidden gem of Kansas City. This location exudes timeless elegance and romance, so if you’re looking for Europe in Kansas, this is it. This intimate neighborhood park is known for its stone columns, imported from Italy, and manicured greenery, providing a luxurious backdrop for all of your photos. If natural beauty and curated architecture seems to fit your vision, Verona Columns Park is just the place for your Kansas City engagement session.
